“They want me to sell differently now.”

Has management changed its tune lately and asked you to sell in a way that is entirely different from what you’ve done in the past? It’s no time to get huffy. Any business is a fluid, changing entity. As the business matures, so does its needs. Supporting new needs will win you favor and keep the company healthy. That translates into job security!

They’re more important than you

If you are networking to expand the number of people you know, be careful with your words. When you call someone say “I’d like to meet you.” This is slightly different than saying “I’d like to introduce myself to you”. Showing your interest in others will definitively affect your results.
