{"id":2652,"date":"2014-03-10T06:54:07","date_gmt":"2014-03-10T10:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.changinglanes.biz\/?p=2652"},"modified":"2014-03-10T06:54:07","modified_gmt":"2014-03-10T10:54:07","slug":"unexpected-positive-action-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.changinglanes.biz\/index.php\/2014\/03\/10\/unexpected-positive-action-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"Unexpected Positive Action with Scowling Customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most of us have experienced the \u201cCustomer Service Scowl\u201d and know exactly how it feels when we, as customers, are not appreciated.\u00a0 On the other side of the counter, empowering employees to deal with \u201cCustomers Scowling\u201d is even trickier.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.changinglanes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/checkout.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2653\" alt=\"checkout\" src=\"http:\/\/www.changinglanes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/checkout-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0On a recent trip to the discount store, I unknowingly selected the checkout line with a scowling customer ahead of me.\u00a0 She needed three price checks, two credit cards and one cell phone to complete her transaction.\u00a0 I knew it wasn\u2019t the clerk\u2019s problem as she efficiently did her part.<\/p>\n<p>When my turn arrived I chuckled and said \u201cShe was kind of high maintenance\u201d.\u00a0 The clerk, still flustered, nodded and said \u201cSorry for your wait\u201d.
