People actually went to jail for their lack of ethics and rule breaking but this didn&#8217;t bring the entire country to it&#8217;s financial knees.<\/p>\n<p>Developing an ethical culture and valuing results will mean less misconduct over time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Having written standards and following the standards show employees that regardless of our personal demographic, the standards will be followed.\u00a0 If our policy is \u201cno porn on the company computers\u201d and a VP is doing it, he will be treated the same as a janitor.\u00a0 If he is fired, which most companies will say they do, the rest of the company thinks \u2013 we can trust this company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, in a family run company, the family members will be held to the same standards.
