Making some short term expectations for the summer season could mean that beside affording you and your staff some much need R &amp; R, you could reach September with some new ideas or skills. That brings a whole new meaning to the essay &#8220;How I spent my Summer Vacation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Things to do that will make the summer memorable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read a business\u00a0 book<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211; we at Changing Lanes have lots of suggestions, but even taking one off \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 your stack of &#8220;to-read-someday&#8221; would be a good start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read a fiction book<\/strong> \u00a0&#8211; maybe even one of your kids&#8217; books; could be the conversation starter you would enjoy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to educational information<\/strong> &#8211; so many podcasts are free and on just about any topic. You can even learn a language.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Change something\u00a0 in your lifestyle<\/strong> to become more healthy; suggest a challenge to your \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 colleagues, co-workers or family.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attend a Conference<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0and it doesn&#8217;t have to be work related; it could be something totally \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 different or maybe a hobby!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, to really make this happen,<\/p>\n<p>1.
